VOTE JESSICA JESSOME | COUNCILLOR | PLYMPTON-WYOMING COUNCIL CANDIDATE
Jessica Jessome: Councilor Candidate for Plympton Wyoming
Rooted in Community. Focused on the Future.
I’m Jessica Jessome, a resident of Wanstead, proud mother and grandmother, local business owner, and a passionate advocate for community leadership through listening.
As a local business owner with extensive experience in property management, consulting, operations, program development, and client service, I've learned to balance priorities, manage resources responsibly, solve problems fairly, and follow through diligently. My support for nonprofit management has extended to various organizations and community initiatives, where I've been involved in governance, strategic planning, grant writing, and organizational development.
I studied Nonprofit Management through Western University Continuing Studies and hold a college diploma in Medical Administration.
My engagement in municipal and rural issues stems from witnessing how decisions surrounding land use, drainage, infrastructure, development, groundwater, and accountability impact families, farms, businesses, and entire neighborhoods. I've studied records, attended meetings, made delegations, prepared submissions, and collaborated closely with residents, various organizations, and public officials.
Much of this essential work has occurred quietly behind the scenes, emphasizing facts, responsible processes, and ensuring residents' concerns are heard by decision-makers.
I care deeply about protecting our rural character and agricultural land while making responsible plans for the future of Plympton-Wyoming. I believe our town can support housing, infrastructure, and local businesses without sacrificing the qualities that make it feel like home.
I’m running for Plympton-Wyoming Council because residents deserve representation that listens, asks questions, comes prepared, and remembers the community comes first. While I won’t promise to have every answer, I do promise to show up, do the work, speak honestly, and follow through.
My word matters. People matter. Community leadership is about prioritizing our shared values.
